TvRaAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre.•
vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in
the resurfacing of the following streets: Fourteenth Street between
Palm Avenue and Main Street; Adams :Avenue between Seventeenth Street
and Main Street; and Atlanta Javenue between Lake :Avenue and Beach
Boulevard, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and. has
considered evidence presented. .
IvO'T.T T=OFE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the resurfacing of the following streets: Fourteenth Street
between Palm Avenue and Main Street; Adams Avenue between Seventeenth
Street and Main Street; and Atlanta ;Avenue Between Lake .Avenue and Beach
Boulevard, all in the City of Huntington Beach, and the general pre-
vailing rate of legal holidays and overtime work, is as follows:

OVERT LIE RATES
CAR20"LERS, - Double time for all overtime.
MENT IVUSUITIS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall
be double time.,
OPERATING INGLM RS -. First three hours outside the regularly constituted
shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. Ali additional hours
shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall
be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double-time.
Sundays shall be double-time.
iR01WORIMS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess
of eight (S) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on
Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays.
LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TEAMSTERS —Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract,
shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar

or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements."
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre—
vailing 'rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour.
Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or
a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of
a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number
of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or
Legal Holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular meeting thereof held on the. 17b
day of May 1965.
