A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING
AB 554 RELATING TO SALARY PAY OF EMPLOY-
BE$ WHILE ON MILITARY DUTY.. ,
WHEREAS, when any employee of the City of Huntington
Beach takes military leave, the city is required to pay the
full amount of his salary while he is on military duty; and
141ERBAS I It is manifestly unfair for the city to pay
the full regular salary when the employee is, in addition,
receiving paid benefits from the Federal Government; and
WHEREAS, AB 554 would require the city to pay their
employees on military leave the difference between the
military pay and the regular city pay;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Huntington Beach does hereby go on record as supporting
AB 554 and the City Clerk is hereby directed to send copies
of this resolution of all of the State representatives of
Orange County, including all members of the committee con-
cerned.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach this 4th day of June , 1965,

City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk of
the City Council of said City, do hereby certify that the whole number
of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is
five; that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the members of said
adjourned
City Council at a regular/meeting thereof held on the 4th day
