HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2204 A RESOLUTION NO. 2204 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR E ACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMEN OR AJECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIGNALIZATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF BOLSA AVENUE AND EDWARDS STREET IN THE CITIES OF HUNTINGTON BEACH MM WESTMMINSTER, CALIFORNIA. UHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre- vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of signalization at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Edwards Street in the Cities of Huntington Beach and Westminster, and has considered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVER: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen I needed in the construction of signalization at the intersection of Bolsa Avenue and Edwards Street in the Cities of Huntington Beach and Westminster, and the general prevailing rate of legal holidays and over- time work, is as follows: HOURLY WAGE TRADE OR OCCUPATION RATE OPERATING ENGINEERS Health & Welfare - 150 per hour Pension Plan - 100 per hour Vacation - 150 per hour CLASSIFICATION Group 1 4.03 Group 2 4.27 1 Resolution No. 2204 HOURLY WAGE TRADE OR OCCUPATION MATE OPERATING ENGINEERS (conttd. All additional hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all ad�itional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double-time. LABORERS - Time and one-half., except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed con- tract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a 3 Resolution No. 2204 fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour mult— iplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for over— time and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
