A PMOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH OR OR TYPE OF WORK-
MAN OR P11ECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
AND INSTALLATION OF A VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE
TRUNK SEWER A.0 =\THOLES IN GRAHAM STREK
BETWELE EDINGER AVENUE AND BOLSA AVENUE= ALL
IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has
conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general pre-
vailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the
construction and installation of a vitrified clay pipe trunk sewer and
manholes in Graham Street between Edinger Avenue and Bolsa Avenue, all
in the City of Huntington Beach and has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the construction and installation of a vitrified clay pipe
trunk sewer and manholes in Graham Street between Edinger Avenue and
Bolsa Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and the
general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

OVERTIME RATES
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight time shifty and all other overtime shall
be double t .me.
OPERATING ENGINEERS First three hours outside the regularly constituted
shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. All additional hours
shall be at double-time. On Saturday work,. the first eleven hours shall
be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time.
Sundays shall be double-time.
LABORERS - Time and one-half except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TEAI,STERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.

"The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract,
shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar
or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements."
The rates per hour., indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour.
Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or
a fractional part of a day. The per them wages of a fractional part of
a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of
hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal
Holidays.
PASSED AIM ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the
19th day of July, 1965.
