A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF MECHANIC FOREMAN WALT9R A.
PITTILLO' AT' COMPENSATION GR8ATEA _THAN THE
MINIMUM COMPENSATION FIXED AND DETERMINED
BY ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is in need of an
additional Mechanic Foreman in the Street Department; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is to
be the public interest that additional personnel be added to
the street department and employed at above the minimum com-
pensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
educational qualifications and experience of Walter A.
Pittillo justify a beginning salary in excess of said minimum
compensation as set forth by ordinance, to-wit, Range 409
Step C.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Walter A. Pittillo
be and he is hereby appointed as Mechanic Foreman at a begin-
ning salary, to-wit: Range 40, Step C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular adjourned meeting held onthe
30th day of August, 1965.

resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
