HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2243 RESOLUTION No. 2243 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH EXPRESSING THEIR APPREC- IATION TO L. W. DOUGLAS, JR. FOR HIS VISION; HIS DEVOTION TO HIGH STANDARDS OF PROPERTY DE- VELOPMENT AND HIS CO-OPERATION WITH THE CITY WHILE SERVING AS PRESIDENT OF THE HUNTINGTON HARBOUR CORPORATION AND THE CHRISTIANA OIL CORPORATION DURING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE HUNT- INGTON HARBOUR PROJECT. WHEREAS, Mr. L. W. Douglas, Jr. has served as Presi- dent of the Huntington Harbour Corporation for the past five years, and the parent corporation, Christiana Oil Corporation, for the past thirteen years; and WHEREAS, during the Presidency of Mr. Douglas, the Huntington Harbour Corporation developed, within the City of Huntington Beach, a marina type complex of extremely high quality; and WHEREAS, during the entire time of this development, Mr. Douglas and the corporations with which he was associated were extremely co-operative in all of their relations with the City; and WHEREAS, Mr. L. W. Douglas, Jr. is about to resign from the positions he now holds with the Huntington Harbour Corporation and the Christiana Oil Corporation. NOW, THEREFOIRE, BE IT :RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, assembled in regular meeting on the 4th day of October, 1965, do hereby express their 1. No. 2243 deepest appreciation to Mr. L. W.
