A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR RICH-
ARD L. JONES AT COMPENSATION GREATER THAN
THE MINIMUM COMPENSATION FIXED AND DETER-
MINED BY ORDIUNCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is in need
of additional Building Department personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
to the public interest that additional Building Department
personnel be employed at above the minimum compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
educational qualifications and experience of Richard L.
Jones justify a beginning salary in excess of said minimum
compensation as set forth by ordinance, to-wit: Range
40.5, Step C.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Richard L. Jones
be and he is hereby appointed as Structural Inspector at a
beginning salary, to-wit: Range 40.5, Step C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 1st day
of November, 1965.

I, PAUL C. J'ONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of November 9
19 65tj by the following vote:
