HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2255 RESOLUTION NO. 2255 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING THE STAND OF THE CITY OF LONG BEACH REGARDING "MOLOTOV" COCKTAILS. WHEREAS, the City of Long Beach has written a letter to Governor Brown requesting that top priority be given to the request of Assemblyman Mulford to place on call for this legislative session, the matter making it a felony to possess, throw or otherwise use a 'Molotov' cocktail or any other incendiary object; and AREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach strongly supports this request of the City of Long Beach; NOS', THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby resolves that it strongly supports the stand of the City of Long Beach that the use of the 'Molotov' Cocktail, or any other incendiary objectp now a misdemeanor, be a felony$ as provided for in .Assembly- man Mulford' s request that this matter be given top priority in this Legislative Session and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to send copies of this resolution to the Governer of California, Assemblyman Mulford, and to the City of Fong Beach. i .
