A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF POLICEMAN GEORGE RENEF AT
COMPENSATION GREATER THAN THE MINIS COM-
PENSATION FIXED AND DETERMINED BY ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington. Beach is in need
of additional Police Department personnel; and
WM1REAS, the City Council has determined that it is
to the public interest that additional Police Department
personnel be employed at above the minimum compensation; and
AREAS, the City Council has determined that the
educational qualifications and experience of George Benek
justify a beginning salary in excess of said minimum
compensation as set forth by ordinance, to-wit: Range
39, Step B.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that George Renek
be and he is hereby appointed as Policeman at a beginning
salary, to-wit: Range 39, Step B.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the lst
day of November, 1965

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st day of November ,
19 659 by the following vote:
