A RESOLUTION :OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINNGTON BEACH COMMENDING HARRY
C. WILLIAMS FOR HIS SERVICES ADVISING THE
CITIZENS CHARTER REVISION COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach appointed a Citizens Charter Revision
Committee, and
WHEREAS, the City Council also appointed a
special advisor to the Committee, Harry C. Williams,
Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the Committee held many public hear-
ings and was advised by Mr. Williams concerning the
philosophy and legality of various proposed provisions ;
and
WHEREAS, a new proposed Charter was completed
and will be presented to the voters of Huntington Beach
on January 11, 1966 for approval .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City
of Huntington Beach expresses its sincere appreciation
for the services of Mr. Williams for his part in drafting
the proposed Charter.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California, at a regular adjourned
meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of November, 1965 .

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of November
19 65 , by the following vote:
