AN ORDER OF THE CITY COU14CIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH VACATING
PUBLIC PASSAGE RIGHTS TO A TEN FOOT
WALKWAY AT THE INTERSECTION OF STAN-
FORD LANE AND MCFADDEN AVENUE.
AREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, did, by unanimous vote on the 18th day
of October, 1965, at a regular meeting of said body, reg-
ularly and duly adopt Resolution No. 2245, entitled "A
Resolution of Intention of the City Council of the City
of Huntington Beach, California to vacate public passage
rights to a ten foot walkway at the intersection of
Stanford Lane and McFadden Avenue;" and
WHEREAS,, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach did elect to proceed under the provisions of the
Street Vacation Act of 1941; and
WHEREAS, the portion of the street lies within the
City of Huntington Beach and is not a portion of a State
Highway; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Huntington
Beach did cause a copy of said resolution of intention to
be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the City of
Huntington Beach, by one insertion on the 21st day of
October, 1965; and

WHEREAS, said resolution contained a notice that
the 6th day of December, 1965, at the hour of 8:00 P. M.
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach,
California, was the time and place when and where a public
hearing was to be held upon said resolution of intention
at which hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacation may be heard; and
WHEREAS, notice of street vacation was posted as
required by law;
NOGG', THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Hunt-
ington Beach, after hearing the evidence offered by all
persons interested appearing before said Council, does
hereby find from all the evidence submitted that the
portion of Stanford Lane and McFadden Avenue herein
described is unnecessary for present or prospective public
street and alley purposes.
SECTION 2. It is hereby ordered that certain walk-
way within the City of Huntington Beach described as:
That 10.00 foot walkway as shown on a map
of Tract No. 3846, recorded in Book 144
on Pages 35-37 inclusive of Miscellaneous
Maps, records of Orange County, California,
being bounded on the north by the easterly

and westerly prolongations of the circular
south right of way line of Stanford Lane
and being bounded on the south by the
easterly and westerly prolongations of the
north right of way line of McFadden Avenue
(indicated as Sugar Avenue on said map of
Tract No. 3846) .
For further particulars as to the proposed
vacation, reference is hereby made to a map
on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City.
be and the same is hereby vacated for public street and
alley purposes, subject to the reservation of easements and
rights of-way set forth in Section 8330 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3. That the -City of Huntington Beach, on
behalf of the public, shall retain public utility rights to
enter the above described area to construct, maintain, alter,
relay, or repair such public utilities as may be found to
be or proposed to be located in this area.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to cause a certified copy of this order,
attested by the Clerk under the seal of this City, together
with a certified copy of Resolution No. 2245 to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
California.

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby

of the City of Huntington Beach is five, that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2Dth day of
