A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF
HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK-
MAN OR MOHANIC NEEDED FOR THE SURFACING AND
IMPROVEMENT OF MAIN STREET FROM 450 FEET SOUTH-
WESTERLY OF DELAWARE STREET TO BEACH BOULEVARD,
ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has con-
ducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing
rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the sur-
facing and improvement of Main Street from 450 feet southwesterly of
Delaware Street to Beach Boulevard; all in the City of Huntington Beach
and has considered evidence presented.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDt That the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach does hereby find, established and determine that the
general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen
needed in the surfacing and improvement of Main Street from 450 feet
southwesterly of Delaware Street to Beach Boulevard; all in the City
of Huntington Beach, California, and the general prevailing rate of
legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows:

OVERTIME RATF�S
CARFMERS - Double time for all overtime.
CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the
regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall
be double time.
OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly con-
stituted shift shall, be at the rate of time and one-half. All additional
hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours
shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time.
Sundays shall be double-time.
IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess
of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on
Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays.
LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are
double time.
TE TFXS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are

double time.
The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the
schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract,
shall be commensurate and in accord With the rates specified for similar
or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor .Agreements.
The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre-
vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour.
Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or
a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of
a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of
hours worked on said day other than for overtime and.or Sundays or Legal
holidays.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the
17th day of January, 1966.

of the City of Huntington Beach is five; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of January
1966 , by the following vote :
