HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2324 RESOLUTION No. 2324 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER IN ITS EFFORT TO EFFECT A NAME CHANGE FROM 'KNOTT' STREET TO 'GOLDEN NEST' STREET IN THE CITIES OF GARDEN GROVE, ANAHEIM, BUENA PARK AND STANTON. WHEREAS, the City of Westminster has requested the cities of Garden Grove, Anaheim, Buena Park and Stanton to consider changing the name of 'Knott Street' to •Golden West Street' within their city boundaries; and WHEREAS, the cities of Westminster and Huntington Beach will retain the street name of 'Golden West Street' within their city boundaries; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Street Naming Committee has been requested to assist in this name change; and WHEREAS, this name change will make traveling in. Orange County less complicated and confusing and will pro- mote uniformity of street names within the County. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunt- ington Beach is in full support of the City of Westminster In its effort to effect this street name change.
