HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2366 RESOLUTION N0. 2366 RESOLUTION ABANDONING PROCEEDINGS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6402 HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California did propose to order certain work and im- provements and acquisition of property for public use to be done and made in Assessment District No. 6402 under and pur- suant to the Improvement Act of 1911 , Division 7 cf the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California ; and WHEREAS , at the time set for hearing protests and objections to said proposed improvement on March 21 , 1966 said City Council found that written protests and objections to said proposed improvement had been made by the owners of more than one-half of the area of the property to be assessed for said improvements , and that said City Council , because of said pro- tests , did not have jurisdiction to proceed further in this assessment district . NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California, in regular session assembled, that all proceedings heretofore taken under and pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911 and the Special Assess- ment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, Division 7 and Division 4, respectively, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California , in this improvement -1- Res. No. 2366 district be , and the same hereby are abandoned. ADOPTED the 16th day of May, 1966 .
