A.SSESSMNT DISTRICT NO. 6603
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, Calif-
ornia , in regular session assembled, does hereby resolve and
determine as follows:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience
require , and that it is the intention of said City Council to
order the following work to be done or improvements to be made
in said City of Huntington Beach, to wit:
The construction and installation of an ornamental
electric street lighting system, including underground conduit,
ornamental Marbelite standards , concrete bases , pull boxes , switch
gear, appurtenances and appurtenant work, in and along:
1 . The easterly side of Golden 11est Street and a two
foot wide public easement immediately adjacent and parallel to
the easterly right of way line of Golden West Street from its
intersection with the northerly right of way line of Edinger Avenue
to its intersection with the southerly right of way line of
McFadden Avenue .
2 . The southerly side of McFadden Avenue and a two foot
wide public easement immediately adjacent and parallel to the
southerly right of way line of McFadden Avenue from its inter-
section with the easterly right of way line of Golden Truest Street

to its intersection with the westerly right of way line of Gothard
Street .
3 . Both sides of Gothard Street and a two foot wide
public easement immediately adjacent and parallel to both right
of way lines of Gothard Street from its intersection with the
northerly right of way line of Edinger Avenue to its intersection
with the southerly right of way line of McFadden Avenue .
4. The northerly side of Edinger Avenue and a two foot
wide public easement immediately adjacent and parallel to the
northerly right of way line of Edinger Avenue from its inter-
section with the easterly right of way line of Golden West Street
to a point in Edinger Avenue 311 feet East of the center line of
Gothard Street , together with the connection of said system in
Edinger Avenue with the electric system of Southern California
Edison Company at existing Pole Number 1379747E in the southerly
side of Edinger Avenue approximately 990 feet East of the center
line of Golden I%Test Street .
SECTION 2: All of the above mentioned work, including
the grade to which said work shall be done and the location there-
of in and upon the streets and rights of way above mentioned,
shall be done upon the grades , along the lines , between the points ,
of the dimensions , at the places and in the manner described and
set forth in the plans , profiles and detailed drawings of said
work, and to specifications for said work heretofore adopted by

said City Council on June 6 , 1966 by its Resolution No. 2374
which plans , profiles , detailed drawings and specifications are
on file in the office of the City Clerk, and which are hereby
referred to for a more particular description of said work, grade
of said work, and location of said work in and along the streets
and rights of way here inbef ore mentioned.
SECTION 3: The expenses and cost of said work and im-
provement shall be chargeable upon a district, which said district
said City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by
the work and improvements herein described and to be assessed to
pay the cost and expenses thereof; said district shall include
that territory in said City of Huntington Beach, California which
is shown upon that certain plat or map thereof on file in the
office of the City Clerk, entitled "MAP OF ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO.
6603 , CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA,11 and which said map
or plat indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in the proposed district and covers all details as to
the extent of the area to be assessed; said map or plat is hereby
referred to for further detail .
SECTION 4: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that serial bonds
shall be issued in the manner and form provided in Part 5 ,
Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Calif-
ornia , the Improvement Act of 1911 , to represent unpaid assess-
ments of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or over as to all lots and lands ,

except that owned by the Orange Coast Junior College District ,
which bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six percent (6%)
per annum and the last installment of which bonds shall mature
nine (9) years from the second day of January next succeeding the
first day of September following their date . Assessments levied
upon the lands of the Orange Coast Junior College District shall
be paid as provided in Section 5302 .5 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California by said Orange Coast Junior College
District and not by said City of Huntington Beach.
SECTION 5 : NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that said
City Council has found and determined, by not less than a four-
fifths vote of all of its members when considering passage of
this resolution of intention, that all of the owners of all of
the lots and lands liable to be assessed for the aforesaid work
have signed and filed, within the time required by law, their
petition waiving the hearing of objections under this resolution
of intention, and declaring that they do not have any objections
to the proposed work or the extent of the district to be assessed,
or any other objections whatsoever , and has ordered that the hearing
of objections under this resolution of intention shall not be re-
quired and will not be held.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk shall cause this resolution
of intention to be published twice in the Huntington Beach News ,,
a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in

said City of Huntington Beach, which said newspaper has hereto-
fore been designated by said City Council as the newspaper in
which shall be printed and published all notices , resolutions ,
orders and other matters required to be published in the proceed-
ings to be taken pursuant to this resolution and under the provisions
of the Improvement Act of 1911 . The first publication of said
notice shall be within ten (10) days after the date of adoption of
this resolution of intention.
SECTION 7 : NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the
grades to which said wor';. is to be done are , or may be in part,
new and different from those heretofore established, or may be and
in some cases are different from existing ground levels .
SECTION 8: The total estimated cost of said work and
improvements , including estimated incidental costs , is in the
amount of $50,976 .96 .

I, FAUL C. JONES , the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said city, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of June , 1966
by the following vote:
