HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2382 RESOLUTION NO, 2382 A SOLUTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING ViE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF ORK- IV1AN OR MHANIC NEEDED FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION, SURFACING, AND Z PROVE"NINT OF WARNER AVENUE FROM PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY TO 3150 FEET EAST- ERLY, PARTIALLY IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, ATD PARTIALLY IN THE UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY OF ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA. WHAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has con- ducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the recon- struction., surfacing, and improvement of Warner Avenue from Pacific Coast Highway to 3150 feet Easterly, partially in the City of Huntington Beach, and partially in the unincorporated territory of Orange County, California and ha s considered evidence presented. NOW THF'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, established and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the reconstruction, surfacing, and improvement of Warner Avenue from Pacific Coast Highway to 3150 feet Easterly, partially in the City of Huntington Beach, and partially in the unincorporated terri- tory of Orange County, California, and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: HOURLY WAGE TRADE OR OCCUPATION RATE CARPENTERS Health & Welfare - 14 per hour Pension Plan - 30¢ per hour I Resolution No. 2382 HOM ZY WAGE TRALE OR OCCUPATION RATE CARPMERS (Cunt t d.) CEMT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS «- First three hours outside the regularly con- stituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. All additional hours shall be at double-time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double-time. IRON MREERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are time. TEAT/ZTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule„ but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master lebor Agreements. The rates per hours indicated above are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight (8) times the above scheduled rate per hour. Eourly rates of pay are based upon eight (8) hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multi- plied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Iegal Holidays. Resolution No. 2382 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Buutington Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 6th day of June, 1966.
