A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
APPOINTMENT OF POLICEMAN BRUCE W. YOUNG
1'�T COMPENSATION GREATER THAN THE MINIMUM
COMPENSATION FIXED AND DETERMINED BY
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is in need of
additional Police personnel; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
to the public interest, that additional Police Department per-
sonnel be employed at above the minimum compensation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined '(.'.hat the
educational qualifications and experience of Bruce W. Young
justify a beginning salary in excess of said minimum compen-
sation as set forth by ordinance, to-wit: Range 40, Step C.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Bruce W. Young be
and he is hereby appointed as Policeman at a beginning salary
to-wit: Range 4o, Step C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 20th day
of June, 1966.

I , PAUL C . JONES , the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of Jane
