A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF H€ INGTON BEACH
TO 'VACATE A PORTION OF WESLEY AVENUE
AND THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 1804 OF TRACT
NO, 51 IN SAID CITY AND GIVING NOTICE
OF HEARING ON SAID VACATION,
WHEREkSp the existing right of way location of Wesley Avenue and
the existing location of the alley in Block 1804 of Tract No 51 would
conflict with the planned develepment of extensive acreage; and
WHEREM, the vacation of Wesley Avenue and the alley will not be
in conflict with the Raster Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to vacate that portion of Wesley
Avenue as hereinafter described as parcel 1; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to vacate that certain alley in
Block 1804 of Tract No. 51 as hereinafter described as parcel 2:
NOW, THEREFORE,, the City Council of the Cityof Huntington Beach

California, does resolve, determine, find and declare as follows:
Section 1, The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of Wesley Avenue and
the alley in Block 1804 of Tract No. 51, within the City of Huntington
Beach, described as follows:
Parcel 1. That portion of Wesley Avenue as shown on lisp of Wesley
Heights recorded in Book 4, Page 23 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
Orange County, California and also shown on the map of Tract No. 260,
recorded in Book 139 Page 34 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange
County, California, lying Southeasterly of the Northeasterly prolongation
of the tangent portion of the Northwesterly line of Lot B in said Tract
1.

the tangent portion of the Southeasterly line of said hot B.
Parcel 2. That certain alley 15.00 feet in width in Block 1804 of
Tract No. 1 as shown on a Ma recorded in Book e 4 of Miscella-
neous Maps, records of Orange County, California, lying Northeasterly
of the Northwesterly prolongation of the Southwesterly Line of hot 1
in said Block 1804 and lying Southerly of the Westerly prolongation of
the Northerly Line of Lot 35 in said Block 1804.
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference is
hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City:
Section 2: That notice is hereby given that the 15th day of August#
1966, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the
City Hall, Huntington Beach, California; is the time and place when and
where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of intention
to vacate said above described portion of Wesley Avenue and the alley in
Block 1804 of Tract No. 51 at which hearing all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard.
Section 3: The City Clerk is hereby authorised and directed to
cause a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the
Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation' printed and
published in the City of Huntington Beach,, by one insertion prior to the
hearing as set forth in Section 2 hereof.
Section 4: The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, in
vacating the portion of Wesley Avenue and the alley in Block 1804 of
Tract No 51p as above described, does elect to proceed under the pro-
visions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highway Code of the State of California.

Section 5 The Street Superintendent is hereby authorized and
directed to post notices of street vacation as required by law,
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of
July$, 19"
