HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2420 RESOLUTION No, 2420 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF NORM OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STAEEf IMPRiOSTS, CHANNELIZATION, AND SIGNALIZATION OF THE FOLLOWING INTERSECTIONS: BOLSA AGUE AT GRAHAM STREET, AND GOLDENNEST STREET AT MCFADDEN AVENUE, PARTIALLY IN THE CITY OF WESTMINSTER AND PARTIALLY IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. All additional hours shall be at double-time, On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double-time. IRON WORDS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. 5 Resolution No. 2420 "The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre— vailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour, Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays.
