HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2429 RESOLUTION NO. 2429 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH CONGRATULATING AND COM- MENDING THE OCEAN VIEW LITTLE LEAGUE ALL STARS BASEBALL TEAM IN WINNING THE WESTERN REGION, DIVISION III LITTLE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT. WHEREAS, the All Stars Team of the Ocean View Little League of Huntington Beach, California, competed and won the Orange County area, Section 2, Little League Championship; and WHEREAS, this Ocean View Little League All Stars Team progressed to, and have won, the Little League District 55 Championship; and WHEREAS, the Ocean View Little League All Star Team advanced to, and have won, the Los Angeles-Orange County District Sectional Tournament; and WHEREAS, the Ocean View Little League All Stars Team progressed to, and have won, the Little League Western Region,Division III Tournament, thereby acquiring the Southern California Little League Championship; and WHEREAS, the Ocean View Little League All Stars have advanced to the Little League Western Regional Tournament as representatives of the City of Huntington Beach, to play for the California State Championship. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby- congratulates and commends the Ocean View Little League All Stars Baseball Team on the excellent showing they have made in winning the 1 Res . No. progressive Little League Tournaments through the Western Region, Division III Tournament, giving them the Southern California Championship.
