A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING
,SUPPORT OF THE STATE HIGHWAY COMMISSION
IN THE REMOVAL OF CERTAIN SIGNS, BILLBOARDS
AND OUTDOOR ADVERTISING WITHIN THE CITY
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach is presently
engaged in an intensive campaign for the clean-up of signs
and billboards adjacent to the streets and highways within
the City of Huntington Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City
Council of Huntington Beach respectfully requests the
State Highway Commission to use all efforts available to
cause the removal of all signs and billboards from their
property within the City of Huntington Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Huntington Beach, California this 19th day of
September 1966.

I , PAUL C . JONES , the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members- of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th day of September
1966 by the following vote :
