HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2451 RESOLUTION No. 2451 RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUPPORTING THE ORANGE COAST JUNIOR COLLEGE DISTRICT TAX LIMIT PROPOSITION TO BE VOTED UPON ON NOVEMBER 8TH, 1966 WHEREAS, The welfare of our community is best served by quality education demonstrated by the Orange Coast Junior College District; and WHEREAS, The Orange Coast Junior College District is responsible to provide our youth with the best education available; and WHEREAS, The Orange Coast Junior College is in the district with the largest population increase in the nation; and WHEREAS, the Orange Coast Junior College District has reached the limits of its general power tax rates due to rising costs and the exploding student population; and WHEREAS, the present tax monies are insufficient to continue the high quality educational standards heretofore ad- hered to, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Huntington Beach support the Orange Coast Junior College District Tax Limit Proposition to be voted upon on November 8th, 1966.
