A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
TO VACATE ABLE LANE IN SAID CITY AND
GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING ON SAID VACATION.
WHERE S, Able lane is a dead-end street with neither planned nor
possible extensions; and
WHRPE;AS, Able lane provides only ingress and egress to an industrial
complex, and provides no thoroughfare for public traffic; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to vacate Able Lane as hereinafter
described:
NOW, SORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, does resolve, determine, find and declare as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby
declare its intention to vacate Able. LAne, ,withi.n the City of Huntington
Beach, described as follows:
That portion of Section 99 Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in book 51 page 13 of
Miscellaneous Maps, in the.office of the County Recorder in said County#
described as follows:
Parcel "1" A parcel of land 80.00 feet wide the center line of which
is described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said section,
said corner being described as the center line of Springdale Street and
Bolsa Avenue; thence South 89° 39• 05" West ,324.59 feet to the center line
intersection with Bolsa Avenue and the proposed street, which is the true
point of beginning; thence North 0° 39' 33" West 2312.07 feet along a line
parallel with and Westerly 1324.59 feet of Springdale Street measured along
the South side of said section, to a point of intersection with the Southerly

line of the land described in a deed to United States of America recorded
December 190 19440 in book 1296 page 88 of Official Records; the side lines
are to be prolonged or lengthened or shortened so as to terminate on the
South by the center line of said Bolsa Avenue and on the North by the
Southerly line of said deed to the United States of America.
Parcel "2" Beginning at the center line intersection of proposed
street and Bolsa Avenue as it now exists; thence North 0* 39* 33" West
60.00 ± feet; thence South89* 39" 05" West 40.00 * feet to the true point
of beginning; thence continuing South 89* 39* 05" West 30*16 feet to a point
of cusp, the beginning of a curve concave to the Northwest having a radius
of 30-00 feet; thence Easterly and Northerly along said curve 47.29 feet
through a central angle of 90* 18t 38" to a point of cusp; thence South
0* 391 33" East 30-16 feet to the true point of beginning*
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach further
declares and stipulates that reserved and excepted from the vacation are
the non-exclusive rights at any times or from time to time, to constructs
maintains operates replacet remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains
and appurtenant structures ins uponp over and across any highway or part
thereof proposed to be abandoned and pursuant to any existing franchise or
renewals thereof, or otherwise, to constructs maintains operates replace,
removes renew and enlarge lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wiresp poles,
and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone linest railroad lines and for the
transportation or distribution of electric energy# petroleums and its pro-
ducts, ammoniag waters and for incidental purposest including access to
protect the property from all hazards in, upon and over the above described

Section 3. That notice is hereby given that the 19th day of December,
1966, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City
Hall, Huntington Beach, California, is the time and place when and where a
public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of intention to vacate
said above described Able"Lane, at which hearing all persons interested in
or objecting to the proposed vacation may be heard.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause
a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the Huntington
Beach News, alvaewspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Huntington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing as set forth
in Section 3 hereof.
Section 5. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, in vaca-
ting the Able Lane, as above described, does elect to proceed under the
provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 19419 Division 9, Part 3, of the
Streets and Highway Code of the State of California.

Section 6. The Street Superintendent is hereby authorized and directed
to post notices of street vacation as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of November,
1966.

certify that the whole number of members of the. City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting .thereof held on the 7th day of November
19 66 , by the following vote :
