HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2453 RESOLUTION No. 2453 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH TO AUTHORIZE THE HUNTINGTON BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO EN- FORCE THE PROVISIONS OF THE VEHICLE CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ON THE PRIVATE STREETS OF VILLA PACIFIC, VIA STRAITS, BLUE REEF DRIVE AND GREEN SPRAY WITHIN THE CITY AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING ON SUCH INTENTION. WHEREAS, the streets known as Villa Pacific, Via Straits, Blue Reef Drive and Green Spray are privately owned and main- tained roads within the City of Huntington Beach which are generally held open for use of the public for purposes of ve- hicular travel and which so connect with highways that the public cannot determine that such roads are not highways; NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach does resolve, determine and declare as follows : Section 1. That the City Council of Huntington Beach hereby declares its intention that the private streets known as Villa Pacific, Via Straits, Blue Reef Drive and Green Spray shall be afforded police enforcement under the provisions of Section 21107.5 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, by the Huntington Beach Police Department. Section 2, That notice is hereby given that the 5th day of December, 1966, at the hour of 8 :00 P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, is the time and place when and where a public hearing shall be held upon said resolution of intention to authorize police enforce- ment on the above mentioned streets. 1. R-e,s. No. 2455 Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, by one insertion prior to the hearing, as set forth in Section 2 hereof. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of November, 1966.
