A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA TO
VACATE A PORTION OF WARNER AVENUE IN.SAID CITY
AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING ON SAID VACATION.
WHEREAS, Warner Avenue, between the intersection of Warner Avenue
at Sims Street and Warner Avenue at Edgewater Lane, was realigned in
accordance with agreements between the city of Huntington Beach, the
County of Orange, and private development; and
WHEREAS, the realignment of Warner Avenue caused certain right of
way areas to become surplus and of no further use to the public; and
WHEREAS, the vacation of a portion of the surplus right of way
areas will not be in conflict with the Master Plan of Arterial Streets
and Highways; and
WHEREAS, the Cit.J Cou s:::il of the City of Huntington Beach desires
to vacate a portion of Warner Avenue as hereinafter described.
NO11 THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Huntington Beach,
California, does resolve, deteryline, find, and declare as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby declare its intention to vacate a portion of Warner Avenue,
t<n thin the city of Huntington Beach, described as follows:
That portion of the Northeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of
Fractional Section 29, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Bernardino
Base and 1111eridian, as sho�m on a 111ap recorded in Book 51, page 13 of
I,zscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter of the
Northwest quarter of said Fractional Section 29; thence North 004312211
West 3b9.48 feet along the east line of the said Northeast quarter to
a point on a curve concave to the Northwest having a radius of 645.00

thence southwesterly along said curve 71.78 feet through a central angle
of 6022'36" to the true point of beginning; thence continuing along
said curve southwesterly 280.67 feet through a central angle of 24'55'56"
to a point, a radial line through said point bears South 37053,06" East;
thence North 3705310611 West along said radial line 90.00 feet to a point
on a curve concave to the Northwest having a radius of 555.00 feet;
thence Northeasterly 241.51 feet along said curve through a central
angle of 24055'56" to a point, a radial line through said point bears
South 62049102" East; thence South 62049t02" East along said radial line
90.00 feet to the True Point of Beginning.
Section 2. That notice is hereby given that the 5th day of June,
1967, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. or as soon as possible thereafter, in the
Council Chamber in the City Hall, Huntington Beach, California, is the
time and place when and where a public hearing shall be held upon said
resolution of intention to vacate said above described portion of
Warner Avenue, with the abovementioned reservations, at which hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may be
heard.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
cause a copy of this resolution of intention to be published in the
Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and
published in the City of Huntington Beach, by one insertion prior to the
hearing, as set forth in Section 2 hereof.
Section 4. The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, in
vacating the Warner Avenue, as above described does elect to proceed
under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, Division 9,

Part 3, of the Streets and Highway Code of the Streets and Highway Code
of the State of California.
Section 5. The Street Superintendent is hereby authorized and directed
to post notices of street vacation, as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the city of Huntington
Beach, California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the lst day of
May, 1967.

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the lst
day of May 1967 , by the following vote:
