HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2614 4 RESOLUTION N0. 26 14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PRE- VAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMEN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE IN- STALLATION OF CHAIN LINK FENCE ALONG SLATER AVENUE CHANNEL ON SLATER AVENUE FROM EDWARDS STREET TO A POINT 1320' `k WESTERLY OF SPRING- DALE STREET TO SLATER AVENUE PUMP STATION, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workman needed in the installation of chain link fence along Slater Avenue Channel on Slater Avenue from Edwards Street to a point 13201+ westerly of Edwards Street and from a point 23181t westerly of Springdale Street to Slater Avenue Pump Station, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and has considered evidence presented. All additional hours shall be at double time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one half' and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked" on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or com- parable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing Page 3. Resolution No. 2614 OVERTIME RATES - Cont'd rates per day being eight (8) times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight (8) hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or legal holidays.
