HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2632 RESOLUTION NO. 2632 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE 'GENERAL PREVAIL- ING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREET IMPROVEMENTS, CHANNELIZATION, AND SIGNALI- ZATION OF THE FOLLOWING INTERSECTIONS: WARNER AVENUE AT GOTHARD STREET AND WARNER AVENUE AT SPRINGDALE STREET, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workman needed in the construction of street improvements, channelization, and signalization of the following. intersections: Warner Avenue at Gothard Street and Warner Avenue at Spring- dale Street, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and has consi- dered evidence presented. NOW THEREFORE, BI IT RESOLVED: that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of street improvements, channelization, and signalization of the following intersections: Warner Avenue at Gothard Street and Warner Avenue at Springdale Street, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: TRADE OR OCCUPATION HOURLY WAGE RATE CARPENTERS Health & Welfare - 260 per hour Pension Plan 30C per hour Vacation - 15C per hour Carpenter $5.09 CEMENT MASONS Health d. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the reg- ularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one half. All additional hours shall be at double time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double time. IRON WORKERS -Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensa5ion for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevail- ing rates per day being eight (8) times the aboe scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates -of pay are based upon eight (8) hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day.
