HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2633 RESOLUTION No• 2633 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH CORRECTING, RELOCATING OR ALTERING BOUNDARIES BETWEEN THE CITY OF HUNT- INGTON BEACH, AND THE CITY OF FOUNTAIN VALLEY, WITH CONSENT OF SAID CITY OF FOUNTAIN VALLEY, PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SEC. 50190. WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has boundaries which are incorrectly described, indefinite and conflict with established property lines, and the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, pursuant to Government Code Sec. 501909et seq. has filed with the City Council of Fountain Valley a written petition specifically describing the parcels of land affected and the proposed location of the new boundary line and request- ing consent to the correction of relocation of such boundaries, And prior to being filed or acted upon said petition was submitted to and reported upon by the Local, Agency Formation Commission of the county in accordance with subsection (f) of Section 54790 and the City Council of the City of Fountain Valley has by Resolution No. 4050 consented to each of the corrections or relocations proposed by the petition within 30 days after receipt thereof, and a certified copy of such resol- ution of consent has been forthwith filed with the Clerk of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTING- TON BEACH DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby correct, relocate or alter such boundaries to the extent 1. Res. No. 2633 to which said City of Fountain Valley has consented by Res- olution No. 4050, and said boundaries are described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of the southwest one quar- ter of Section 36, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, San Ber- nardino Base and Meridian, Orange County, California; thence north 00 50' 14" west 20.00 feet to a point in the northerly right of way of Garfield Avenue, said point lying within the common boundary line between the City of Huntington Beach, California, and the City of Fountain Valley, California, and said point being the True Point of Beginning; thence south 890 40' 15" west, along the northerly right of way line gf Garfield Avenue, 422.80 feet to a point; thence north 15 04' 34" west 270.41 feet to a point; thence north 880 03' 26" east 188.10 feet to a point; thence north 19 04' 34" west 403.26 feet to a point; thence north 320 24' 34" west 9. 11 feet to an angle point in the boundary line of Tract No. 3534 as shown on a map of said tract recorded in book 127, pages 31 and 32 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Oranfie County, California; thence continuing north 320 24' 34 west, along the easterly boundary line of above described Tract No. 3534, 683.23 feet to a point; thence north 30 04' 34" west, along the easterly boundary line of above described Tract No. 3534, 66.42 feet to a point, said point lying in the northerly line of the southeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of above mentioned Section 36, said point being south 890 38' 35" west 792.55 feet, measured along said north line of the southeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of Section 36, from the northeast corner of the southeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of said Section 36, and said point being the terminus of this description. The City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the Secretary of State, to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, and to the City Council of the City of Fountain Valley.
