HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2671 RESOLUTION No• 2671 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH :ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE MASTER PLAN OF ARTERIAL STREETS AND HIGHWAYS AS IT RELATES TO THEUPGPADING OF LAKE STREET BETWEEN SEVENTEENTH STREET AND GARFIELD AVENUE FROM A SECONDARY HIGHWAY TO A PRIMARY HIGHWAY. WHEREAS, the City heretofore adopted a Master Plan for Streets and Highways; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Hunting- ton Beach, California held one public hearing, in compliance with the State Government Code, in order to consider and review Amend- ment No. 67-2; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, on the basis of land use surveys, Master Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways, Master Plan of land Use, existing zoning and consideration to the gener- al public has determined that the extension of Lake Street between Seventeenth Street and Garfield Avenue be upgraded from a secondary highway to a primary highway; WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach has recommended the adoption of Amendment No. 67-2 to the Master Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, as a result of study and considera- tion, hereby adopts Amendment No. 67-2 to the Master Plan of Arter- ial Streets and Highways.
