HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2684 RESOLUTION No. 2684 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH EXPRESSING THE ESTEEM, GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE COMMUNITY FOR THE EXEM- PLARY WORK ACCOMPLISHED BY THOMAS B. TALBERT IN SERVING AS MAYOR AND COUNCILMAN AND CHAIRMAN OF THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND GENERAL- LY PROMOTING THE GROWTH AND PROGRESS OF HUNTING- TON BEACH AND THE COUNTY; AND EXPRESSING SYMPATHY TO HIS LOVED ONES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, in regular session assembled on January 15th, 1968, learned of the passing of Thomas B. Talbert, a pioneer leader of this com- munity; and WHEREAS, said City Council recognizes the influence Mr. Talbert exercised on the community through his many political and social contacts; and WHEREAS, Mr. Talbert will be missed by all who knew him,, and will leave his mark on this community for many years to come; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Hunt- ington Beach expresses the respect, gratitude and appreciation of the entire co_munity for the exemplary work done in public and private endeavors by Thomas B. Talbert, and will long cher- ish and remember the respect he has gained in our hearts. BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that the City Council on behalf of the citizens of the City of Huntington Beach extends sincere sympathy to the family and loved ones who mourn the passing of Mr. Talbert.
