HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2851 RES OLUT ION NO. 2851 A RES OLUT ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DETERMINING GENERAL NATURE OF WORK AND ORDERING REP ORT OF CITY ENGINEER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6804 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, California , in regular session assembled, that certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described within said City of Huntington Beach. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows , to wit: 1 . The nature of the proposed improvement , consisting of the following described work, upon the grades , along the lines , between the points , of the dimensions , at the places , in the manner and of the materials shown on the plans , profiles and detailed drawings for said improvement , and in accordance with the specifica- tions for said improvement heretofore approved and adopted by said City Council, and on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which plans , profiles , detailed drawings and specifications refer- ence is hereby made for further and more particular description of said work, the manner of its execution and the materials to be used therein, is described as follows: The construction and installation of a twelve inch diameter asbestos cement main water line with six fire hydrant assemblies , valves and tee, hot tap connections , trenching and backfilling, and the replacement of existing street pavement over aggregate base material necessitated by such trenching and -1- backfilling, in Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue from a connection with the existing main water line in Heil Avenue at a point therein 125 feet west of the construction center line of Beach Boulevard to a connection with the existing main water line in Beach Boulevard in its intersection with Edinger Avenue, and includingg eight inch diameter stubouts for a distance of 20 feet westerly from said twelve inch diameter main water line in each of the intersections of Beach Boulevard with Alhambra Drive, Glencoe Avenue, and MacDonald, Holt , Stark and Aldrich Streets ; all together with appurtenances and appurtenant work. 2 . The location and extent of said proposed improve- ments will involve the construction of the above described im- provements upon the streets and rights of way as hereinbefore set forth. 3 . The boundaries of the district to be specially assessed to pay any part of the cost of the proposed improvements are as shown upon a map or plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, which said map or plat indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district , and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of said proposed district; said map or plat is designated 1°PROPOSED BOUNDARIES OF BOULEVARD GARDENS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6804, CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA. " 4 . The statute or law under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for said improvement is the Improvement Act of 1911 of the State of California, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, with improvement bonds -2- to be issued pursuant to the provisions of said Improvement Act of 1911. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer be and he hereby is directed to prepare a written report containing all of the information required by Section 2825 Streets and Highways Code of the State of California upon the proposed improvement . Said City Engineer is hereby authorized to employ such clerical assistance as shall be necessary in compiling the information required in said report .
