HomeMy WebLinkAboutParking Authority - 4 RESOLUTION NO. 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK- MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT AND THE IMPROVEMENT OF PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY BETWEEN. MAIN STREET AND BEACH BOULEVARD, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNT- INGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the Parking Authority of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in the locality for workmen needed in the construction of the City of Huntington Beach Municipal Parking Lot and the Improvement of Pacific Coast Highway between Main Street and Beach Boulevard, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and has considered evidence t % presented. / NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the the Parking Authority of the City of' Huntington Beach does hereby find, established and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of the City of Huntington Beach Municipal Park- ing Lot and the Improvement of Pacific Coast Highway between Main Street and Beach Boulevard, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work, is as follows: TRADE OR OCCUPATION HOURLY WAGE RATE CARPENTERS Health & Welfare - 26G per hour Pension Plan - 30c, per hour Vacation - 15C per hour Carpenter $5.33 Millwright 5.53 Saw Filer 5.41 Table Power Saw Operator 5.43 CEMENT MASONS Health d Welfare - 25C per hour Pension Plan - 30G per hour Vacation - 25C per hour Cement Mason - Journeyman 4.84 Cement Mason - (magnesite, magnesite- terrazo and mastic composition, Epoxy, Dex-O-Tex 4.96 -1- RESOLUTION NO. (Health d Welfare 25C per hour) OVERTIME RATES CARPENTERS - Double time for all overtime. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one half for the first-/three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one half. All additional hours shall be at double time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. -6- RESOLUTION NO. 4 LABORERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification npt listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local pre- vailing rates per day being eight (8) times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of' pay are based upon eight (8) hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per-:diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day- other than for overtime and/or Sundays or Legal Holidays. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Parking Authority of the City of Huntington Beach, California at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 5th day of August 1968.
