HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2911 RESOLUTION NO. 2911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS TO AND EXTENSIONS OF THE BRIDGE ON SPRINGDALE STREET AT THE ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT C-05 CHANNEL, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction of the additions to and extensions of the bridge on Springdale Street at the Orange County Flood Control District C-05 Channel, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California and has considered evidence presented. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other over time shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly g Y consituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one half. All additional hours shall be at double time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one half and all additional hours at double time. Sunday shall be double time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classifications not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed con- tract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fractional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or legal holidays.
