HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2924 RESOLUTION NO . 2924 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENT AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO . The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach d.oes hereby resolve, determine and. order as follows: That the public interest and. necessity demand the acquis- ition and, construction by said city of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: ad.d.itions to and. development of facilities of the city for community recreation, including the acquisition and. development of ad.d.itional parks and. the d.evelopment of existing parks by the land- scaping and. planting of ground.s and. the construction. of buildings and recreational facilities, sewer and. drainage facilities and. vehicle parking areas, and. for any of the foregoing the acquisition of real property, equipment, furniture, and. other property necessary therefor. That the estimated. cost of said, municipal improvement is $6,000,000. That said, municipal improvement requires an expen- diture greater than the amount allowed. for it by the annual tax levy and. is necessary and. convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and. powers of said city. PASSED AND ADOPTED by at least a 2/3rd, vote of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held. on the 3rd. day of Feb ary, 1969.
