HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2946 RESOLUTION NO. 2946 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORK- MAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF A BOAT LANDING RAMP ON THE MUNICIPAL PIER, IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction and reconstruction of a boat landing ramp on the municipal pier, in the city of � Huntington Beach California. g NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the city of Huntington Beach does hereby find, establish and determine that the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in this locality for workmen needed in the construction and reconstruction of a boat landing ramp on the municipal pier in the city of Huntington Beach, Cahfornia, and the general prevailing rate of legal holiday and overtime work is as follows: TRADE OR OCCUPATION HOURLY WAGE RATE CARPENTERS Health & Welfare - 40¢ per hour Pension Plan - 450 per hour Vacation - 250 per hour Carpenter $5.33 CEMENT MASONS Health & Welfare - 40¢ per hour Pension Plan - 350 per hour Vacation - 350 per hour Cement Mason Journeyman 5.13 OPERATING ENGINEERS Health & Welfare - 300 per hour Pension Plan - 60¢ per hour Vacation - 300 per hour CLASSIFICATION Group 1 4.68 Group 2 4.92 Group 3 5.16 Resolution No. 2A46 OPERATING ENGINEERS - Conti. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one-half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly constituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one-half. All additnnal hours shall be at double time. On Saturday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one-half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be at double time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight (8) hours on any regular work day and for all time worked on Saturdays, Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. TEAMSTERS - Time and one-half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements." The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing e rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fract- ional part of a day. The per diem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or legal holidays.
