HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2964 RESOLUTION NO. 2964 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ENDORSING ASSEMBLY BILL NO. 236 WHEREAS, Assemblyman Robert H. Burke has introduced Assembly Bill No . 236 into the legislature to empower school districts to enter into contracts with cities or library dis- tricts to effect the interchangeable use of library facilities ; and To facilitate the greater, general welfare of the reading and student public in this area and over the entire State of California, it is important that cities , schools and districts be enabled to contract for interchangeable library use , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does wholeheartedly support the legislation introduced by Assemblyman Robert H. Burke to permit cities , schools and districts to contract to avail them- selves of interchangeable library facilities . It is further resolved that a copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Assemblyman Burke .
