HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 2966 RESOLUTION NO. 2966 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING THE GENERAL PRE- VAILING RATE OF HOURLY WAGES FOR EACH CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORKMAN OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR THE CONS- TRUCTION OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE STORM DRAIN AND APPURTENANT STRUCTURES ON SPRINGDALE STREET BETWEEN WARNER AVENUE AND HEIL AVENUE, ALL IN THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach has conducted a hearing for the purpose of establishing the general prevailing rate of hourly wages in the locality for workmen needed in the construction of a reinforced concrete pipe storm drain and appurtenant structures on Springdale Street between Warner Avenue and Heil Avenue, all in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and has considered evidence presented. CEMENT MASONS - Time and one half for the first three hours after the regularly constituted straight time shift, and all other overtime shall be double time. OPERATING ENGINEERS - First three hours outside the regularly consituted shift shall be at the rate of time and one half. All additional hours shall be at double yime. On Seburday work, the first eleven hours shall be at time and one half and all additional hours at double time. Sundays shall be double time. IRON WORKERS - Double time shall be paid for any and all work in excess of eight hours on any regular work day anf for all time worked on Saturdays Sundays and recognized holidays. LABORERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. -5- RESOLUTION NO. 2966 TEAMSTERS - Time and one half, except Sundays and holidays, which are double time. The rate of compensation for any classification not listed in the schedule, but which may be required to execute the proposed contract, shall be commensurate and in accord with the rates specified for similar or comparable duties in the Southern California Master Labor Agreements. The rates per hour, indicated above are based upon the local prevailing rates per day being eight times the above scheduled rate per hour. Hourly rates of pay are based upon eight hours per day for a full day or a fract- ional part of a day. The perdiem wages of a fractional part of a day shall be the applicable rate per hour multiplied by the number of hours worked on said day other than for overtime and/or Sundays or legal holidays.
