A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION IN CERTAIN INHAB-
ITED TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO SAID CITY PRO-
POSED TO BE ANNEXED THERETO, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS, RE-
SIDING IN SAID TERRITORY, THE QUESTION WHETHER
OR NOT SAID TERRITORY SHALL BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH, AND FIXING A TIME
AND PLACE WHEN AND WHERE ANY PERSON OWNING
REAL PROPERTY MAY APPEAR BEFORE SAID CITY
COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE WHY SUCH TERRITORY
SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach as follows :
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach to call a special election in cer-
tain inhabited territory contiguous to said city, proposed to be
annexed thereto, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified
electors , residing in said territory, the question whether or not
said territory shall be annexed to the City of Huntington Beach,
and the property in the territory subjected to taxation after an-
nexation equally with property within the City of Huntington Beach
to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of Huntington Beach
outstanding or authorized at the date of the filing of the petition
for annexation for the acquisition, construction or completion of
municipal improvements .
That the territory, so proposed to be annexed, is located in
Sunset Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more
particularly described in Exhibits "A" and "B, " annexed hereto,
and by reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 2. That said territory is hereby designated and
identified for such election purposes and for use upon the ballots

of such election as "Sunset Beach Annexations Nos . 5 and 6 . "
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that on the 6= th day of
August, 1969, at the hour of 8: 00 p .m. in the Council Chamber of
the Civic Center of the City of Huntington Beach, any person
owning real property within said territory so proposed to be
annexed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may
appear before said City Council and show cause why such terri-
tory should not be so annexed. Such protest must be in writing
and shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the
property affected by such annexation and the location and area of
such property in general terms . If it be found that protest is
not made by the owners of one-half (1/2) of the value of the
territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the last equalized
assessment roll, or if protest is not made by public and private
owners equal to one-half (1/2) of the value of the territory,
further proceedings shall be taken in accordance with the law for
the holding of such special election .
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this resolution, and shall cause same to be pub-
lished at least once a week for two weeks prior to said hearing
in the Huntington Beach News, a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th
day of July, 1969 .

PROPOSED SUNSET BEACH NO. 5 ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH

Beginning at an angle point in the present city boundary line of the city of
Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, said boundary having
been established by "Huntington Harbour Corporation Annexation, Parcel No. 2"
in Ordinance No. 920 of said city, said angle point being at the intersection
of the centerline of Warner Avenue, (formerly Los Patos Avenue) 60 feet in
width, with the northeasterly right of way of Pacific Coast Highway, (California
State Highway 1) 100 feet in width as per deed recorded in Book 410, Page 165
of Official Records, Records of said County, said point lies on a curve in
said right of way concave to the southwest having a radius of 3,050 feet. A
radial line through said point bears south 49*11125" west; thence northwesterly
along said curve 144.32 feet through a central angle of 2*42,40" to a point
on a tangent line, said curve and tangent line being the northeasterly right
of way of said Pacific Coast Highway and the boundary of the city of Huntington
Beach as described in said Ordinance No. 920; thence north 43°31'15" west along
said line, said line being described as bearing south 43"22134" east in said
Ordinance No. 920, 368.49 feet to a point; thence leaving said northeasterly
right of way of Pacific Coast Highway and the boundary line of the city of
Huntington Beach as described in said Ordinance No. 920, south 46028,45" west
375.00 feet to a point on the northeasterly line of a 15 foot alley as shown
on map of Sunset Beach recorded in Book 3, Pages 39 and 40 of Miscellaneous
lisp$ Records of Orange County; a line parallel with and 2.00 feet southeasterly
measured at right angles from the northwesterly line of Lot 23 of Block 104
of said map of Sunset Beach being a portion of last described line; thence
south 43°31'15" east 8.14 feet along said northeasterly line of a 15 foot
alley to a point; thence south 46` 28145" west 122.46 feet to a point, the
northwesterly line of lot B of East Side Tract Sunset Beach shown on a map
recorded in Book 4, Page 95 of Miscellaneous Maps Records of Orange County
being a portion of the last described line; thence south 43°31'15" east 40.15
feet to a point on the westerly prolongation of the centerline of Los Patos
Avenue, said point also being in the mean high tide line of the Pacific Ocean,
as shown on a record of survey recorded in Book 53, Page 40, Records of Orange
County, said point also being an angle point in the present city boundary of
the city of Huntington Beach having been established by "Bolsa Chica State
Park Annexation" in Ordinance No. 1126 of said city; thence north 89"42145"

east 291.59 feet along the present city boundary of the city of Huntington
Beach, being described as bearing north 89°12126" west in mid Ordinance
No. 1126, said line also being the westerly prolongation of the centerline
of Los Patos Avenue, to a point, said point being an angle point in the
present city boundary of the city of Huntington Beach as described in said
Ordinance No. 1126; thence south 43°31.15" east along the present city
boundary of the city of Huntington Beach, described in said Ordinance No.
1126 as bearing north 42"28113" west, 41.18 feet to a point, said point lies
on the southerly right of way of Los Patos Avenue 60 feet in width, said
point also lies on the northeasterly right of way line of the Pacific Electric
Company as shown on the before mentioned Record of Survey recorded in Book 53•
Page 40 Records of Orange County; thence leaving the present city boundary
of the city of Huntington Beach north 89`'42,45" east 383.60 feet along the
southerly right of way of Los Patos Avenue to a point, said point lies on a
curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 3,050 feet, a radial line
through said point bears south 49°55'40" west, said curve being the north-
easterly right of way of said Pacific Coast Highway; thence northwesterly
along said curve 39.26 feet through a central angle of 0/4411541 to the Point
of Beginning.

of said City, said point being on the westerly prolongation of the center line
of Los Patos Avenue at its intersection with the mean high tide line of the
Pacific Ocean as shown on a record of survey recorded in Book 53 Page 40, Records
of Orange County California; thence north 43' 22' 34" west 40. 15 feet,. more or
