HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3035 RESOLUTION NO. �0�5 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE STATE TO CLOSE OR RELOCATE VARIOUS MEDIAN OPENINGS ON BEACH BOULEVARD WHEREAS, the State Division of Highways is preparing plans to widen Beach Boulevard thru this City; and WHEREAS, the location of several existing median openings on Beach Boulevard cause disruptions to through traffic as well as potential traffic hazards; and WHEREAS, the State requires a City Council Resolution before closing or relocating an existing median opening. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach hereby requests the California Division of Highways to include in their proposed widening project on Beach Boulevard the following median alterations: 1) Close the median at Owens Street. 2) Open the median at Constantine Drive. 3) Relocate the median opening at Harbour Volkswagen Agency north of Constantine Drive from their southerly driveway to their northerly driveway. 4) Relocate the median opening at Town & Country Shopping Center south of Ellis Avenue from their northerly driveway to their southerly driveway. 5) Close the median opening at Liberty Avenue. 6) Close the median opening between Terry Drive and Chrysler Drive. 7) Close the median openings at Glencoe, Holt and Aldrich Avenues.
