HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3063 RESOLUTION NO. 3063 RESOLUTION DETERMINING GENERAL NATURE OF WORK AND ORDERING INVESTIGATION REPORT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6803 HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, State of California , in regular session assembled, that certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described within said City of Huntington Beach, California. In connection therewith, said City Council hereby finds and determines as follows, to wit: 1 . The nature of the proposed improvement consists of the following described work: The construction and installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete cross gutters and aprons , asphalt concrete pavement over aggregate base material, 85 linear feet of asphalt concrete berm, an eight inch vitrified clay pipe sewer main with four inch vitrified clay pipe sewer laterals , manholes , and lampholes , and an eight inch and a twelve inch asbestos cement domestic water main, with gate vales , and fire hydrants , the relocation of an existing fence, the removal of all obstacles in the line of work, all together with appurtenances and appurtenant work, in Green Street from the exist- ing improvements in its intersection with Warner Avenue to its intersection with Pearce Street , in Milo Street from its intersection with Green Street to a point in Milo Street 165 feet West of the center line of Green Street , and in the Southerly one-half of Pearce Street from a point 165 feet West of the center line of Green Street to the existing improvements in and about its intersection with Bolsa Chica Street , provided that said sewer main shall be constructed in the Northerly one-half of Pearce Street , and shall extend in Pearce Street from a point 165 feet West of the center line of Green Street to a point 487 feet East of the center line of Bolsa Chica Street . -1- 2 . The location and extent of said proposed improvement will involve the construction of the above described improvements upon the streets and rights of way hereinbefore set forth. 3 . The boundaries of the district to be specially assessed to pay any part of the cost of the proposed improvement are as shown upon a map or plat now on file in the office of the City Clerk, which said map or plat indicates by a boundary line the territory to be included in the proposed assessment district , and which said map or plat governs for all details as to the extent of said proposed district . Said map or plat is designated "EXHIBIT 'A' SHOWING THE GENERAL NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT TO BE ASSESSED TO PAY THE COST THEREOF, AND BY BOUNDARY LINE THE EXTENT OF THE PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT. ' 4. The statute or law under which it is proposed to conduct proceedings for said improvement is the Improvement Act of 1911 of the State of California, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, with improvement bonds to be issued pursuant to the provisions of said Improvement Act of 1911 . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Engineer of Work be and he is hereby directed to prepare a written report containing all of the information required by Section 2825 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California upon the proposed improvement . -2- ADOPTED the 20th day of October, 1969.
