HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3087 RESOLUTION NO. 3087 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ESTABLISHING A NEW SCHEDULE OF RATES FOR TAXICAB COMPANIES IN SAID CITY WHEREAS, a petition having been presented for an increase in rate schedule for taxicab companies operating within the City of Huntington Beach; and Pursuant to Section 6821. 1 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, the City Council has considered in public hearing such pe- tition for modification of existing rates for passenger fares; and The City Council finding that such increase in the schedule of rates for such taxicab companies is equitable in the circum- stances, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach that it does establish the following as the schedule of rates for taxicab companies operating in the City of Huntington Beach: 1. Fifty cents ($ . 50) for the first one-sixth (1/6 mile . 2. Ten cents ($ .10) for each additional one-sixth 1/6 mile . 3 . Seven and 20/100ths Dollars ($7 .20) per hour for waiting time and traffic delay . 4 . No charge will be made for additional passengers , and five (5) passengers may ride for the price of one . 5 . There shall be charged a fifty-cent service charge for any cancellation after taxi has been dispatched pursuant to call . 1. 6 . After the first three minutes waiting period to pick up passengers, for which there shall be no charge, there shall be a charge of twelve cents ($ .12 ) per minute while taxicab is standing idle .
