A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH SUSPENDING THE ISSUANCE
OF BUILDING PERMITS FOR USES IN THE "TOP OF
THE PIER" DEVELOPMENT PLAN AREA INCONSISTENT
WITH USES DESIGNATED IN SUCH DEVELOPMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1969, by Resolution No . 3082 , the
City Council of the City of Huntington Beach approved the "Top
of the Pier" Development Plan for the development of the "Top of
the Pier" Development Plan area of the city; and
The City Council has instructed the Planning Commission to
amend the Master Plan and initiate legislative changes and to
prepare a specific plan of development for said pier consistent
with said "Top of the Pier" Development Plan; and
The City Council desires to restrict and prohibit uses in such
area inconsistent with the "Top of the Pier" Development Plan
pending changes in the Master Plan and zoning laws and regula-
tions for such area,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does hereby resolve that the health, safety and welfare of
the public requires, and it is in the best interest of the city,
that the city suspend the issuance of any building permits or
other permits in the area included within the "Top of the Pier"
Development Plan which said uses are or will be inconsistent
with the "Top of the Pier" Development Plan, approved by the City .
This resolution shall be effective for a period of six (6)
months from the date of its adoption, or until the effective date
of said development plan area.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 18th day
of December, 1969 .

certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 18th
day of December , 19 69 , by the following vote:
