A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH ADOPTING STUDY AREAS.
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND AND DEVELOPMENT
AND CONSTRUCTION THEREON OF PARKING FACILITIES
AND USES INCIDENTAL THERETO
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
has adopted the area, described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, within the City of Huntington
Beach as a parking facility study area for the acquisition of
land by the Parking Authority, and the development. and con-
struction thereon of parking facilities and uses incidental
thereto, as authorized by the Parking Law of 1949 (Streets and
Highways Code, Section 32500 et seq. ) , and said city intends
to make plans , studies, analyses and appraisals concerning such
acquisition of land and the construction of said facilities in
said study area, and to prepare engineering and architectural
plans for the development of said area,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parking Authority of the City of
Huntington Beach does hereby resolve as follows :
1 . That area, described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached
hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby adopted as the parking
facility study area for the Parking Authority for the purpose
of acquiring land, and developing and constructing thereon certain
parking facilities and uses incidental thereto, as authorized
by the Parking Law of 1949 .
2 . The Parking Authority shall utilize and pay for plans ,
studies , analyses , appraisals , including engineering and archi-
tectural plans made by the city, concerning the acquisition of land
by the Parking Authority and the construction of said facilities
in such study area, and for the development of said area for park-
ing facilities and uses incidental thereto .

3 . The Parking Authority shall reimburse to the City of
Huntington Beach any expenditures made by said city for the
preparation of any of the above plans or studies , and for other
necessary expenditures made by said city for the completion of
the above project at such time asfunds are available to the
Parking Authority .
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Parking Authority of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day of
FFbruary, 1969 .

LEGAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE AREA DESIGNATED AS ALTERNATE NO . 1
All that portion of Huntington Beach Tract, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 3, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records
of Orange County, California, bounded on the southwest by the
northeasterly right of way line of Pacific Coast Highway (Ocean
Avenue ) and its northwesterly and southeasterly prolongations ,
bounded on the northwest by the southeasterly right of way line
of Fifth Street, 80 . 00 feet in width as now laid out , bounded
on the northeast by the southwesterly right of way line of
Walnut Avenue, and its northwesterly and southeasterly pro-
longation, bounded on the east adjacent to Block 101 of said
tract by the westerly right of .way line of Walnut Avenue, and
bounded on the southeast by the northwesterly right of way line .

GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR THE AREA DESIGNATED
AS ALTERNATE NO . 7
That portion of the northwest one quarter of fractional
Section 14, Township 6 South, Range 11 West , San Bernardino
Base and Meridian, Orange . County, California, being more par-
ticularly described as follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the northeasterly right
of way line of Pacific Coast Highway (Ocean Avenue) with the
southeasterly right of way line of Lake Street (First Street) ,
75 'feet in width as shown on a map of Huntington Beach Tract ,
recorded in Book 3, Page 36 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of
Orange "County, California; thence northeasterly 760 feet, more
or less , along said southeasterly line of Lake Street .to a
point in the southeasterly prolongation of the southwesterly
right of way line of Olive Avenue; thence southeasterly 195
feet along the last described- line to a point; thence south-
erly 190 feet, more or less , to the most northerly corner of
the surface improvements of that development known as the
Huntington Shores Motel, as said improvements exist on
January 27, 1969; thence westerly, northerly, westerly, southerly,
southwesterly; and .southerly following the most northerly and
westerly limits of the surface improvements of the before de-
scribed development to a point in the northeasterly right of
way line of Pacific Coast Highway (Ocean Avenue) ; thence
northwesterly, along said right of way. line, 315 feet, more
or less , to the point of beginning.

I . Paul C . Jones , Secretary of the Parking Authority of the
City of Huntington Beach, California , DO HEREBY CERTIFY that
the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Parking
Authority of the City of Huntington Beach at a meeting of said
Parking Authority held on the 3rd day of February, 1969, and
that it was so adopted by the following vote :
AYES : Shipley, Bartlett, McCracken, Kaufman,
Matney, Green; Coen
