HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council - 3115 i if RESOLUTION NO. 3115 RESOLUTION ABANDONING PROCEEDINGS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6803 HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, State of California , upon conclusion of the hearing held in this matter by said City Council on January 5 , 1970, has de- termined that the owners of 54. 1 percent of the area of the property liable to be assessed for the proposed improvements in this assessment district have filed objections to said pro- posed work and improvements and the assessment of their property therefor; and WHEREAS, said City Council has determined that it does not have jurisdiction to proceed further in the formation of this assessment district in view of said majority protest: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, State of California, in regular session assembled, that all proceedings heretofore had and taken by said City Council under and pursuant to the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 , and the Improvement Act of 1911 for the aforesaid work and improvement be and the same hereby are abandoned. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall forth- with record a certified copy of this resolution of abandonment _1_ I with the County Recorder of the County of Orange, State of Calif- ornia , in accordance with the provisions of Section 3117 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California .
