A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING THE HUNTINGTON
BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY TO ENTER A JOINT POWERS
AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE COMMON FILM OR AUDIO-VI-
SUAL INVENTORY TO VARIOUS PUBLIC AGENCIES
WHEREAS, a joint powers agreement , dated 1960 , was
entered for the purpose of creating a common film or audio-
visual inventory in which the respective libraries of various
public agencies may participate, thereby greatly increasing
the availability of an extensive supply of films or audio-
visual material which would provide an additional benefit to
all persons using the respective public library facilities ;
and
The signators to such agreement have agreed to extend
the agreement to include the City of Huntington Beach Public
Library; and
Said City of Huntington Beach desires to participate in
such common film or audio-visual inventory program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach that it does authorize the Hunt-
ington Beach Public Library Board to take part in the common
film or audio-visual inventory agreement hereinabove referred
to.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council, as the govern-
ing body of the Huntington Beach Public Library, adopts and
agrees to be bound by that joint powers agreement attached
hereto and made a part hereof by reference as though set out
herein in full, and the bylaws of the Film Council Film Cir-
cuit Commission referred to in such agreement .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of

the City of Huntington Beach be and are hereby empowered to
execute the joint powers agreement or an addendum thereto on
behalf of this Council and the Huntington Beach Public Library.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
15th day of June 1970 .

of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of June 19 70 by the following vote:
