A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PORTION OF MCFADDEN AVENUE
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
hereby resolve as follows :
SECTION 1 . Pursuant to Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, (Section
8320 et seq. ) , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach
hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of McFadden
Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach, described as follows :
The Southerly 13 . 50 feet of the Northerly 40 . 00
feet of the Southeast quarter of Section 16,
Township 5 South, Range 11 West S .B.B . and M. in
the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
State of California.
EXCEPT therefrom the Westerly 110 . 00 feet thereof.
ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom that portion thereof
lying Easterly of the following described line .
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Southeast
quarter of said Section 16; thence North 890 38 '
55" East 1210 . 00 feet along the North line of said
Southeast quarter of the true point of beginning;
thence parallel with the Westerly line of said
Southeast quarter South 00 40 ' 30" East 50 .00 feet
to the point of ending.
SECTION 2 . The City Clerk is directed to maintain on file
in the office of the City Clerk maps or plans showing the particulars
of the proposed vacation of a portion of McFadden Avenue, as herein-
above set forth and reference is hereby made to said maps or plans
for said particulars as to said proposed vacation.

SECTION 3 . The City Council does hereby fix September 8,
1970, Tuesday, at the hour of 7 : 30 p .m. , or as soon thereafter
as the matter may be heard, in the Council Chamber in the City
Hall, Huntington Beach, California as the time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation,
which time is not less than fifteen (15) days from the date of
passage of this resolution.
SECTION 4 . The City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of
this resolution to be published in the Huntington Beach News, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the
City of Huntington Beach within fifteen (15) days of the passage
of this resolution.
SECTION 5 . The Street Superintendent is directed to post,
or cause to be posted, notices of street vacation conspicuously
along the portion of McFadden Avenue proposed to be vacated at
least ten (10 ) days before the date of hearing. Such notices shall
be posted not more than three hundred (300) feet apart , but at
least three (3 ) shall be posted . Such notices shall state the
passage of this resolution of intention and the time and place
of the hearing.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of August , 1970 .

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of August , 10 70 , by the following vote :
