RESOLUTION APPOINTING ATTORNEY
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 6602
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach, California, in regular session assembled ,
that JOHN T. GANAHL be and he hereby is appointed as attorney to
prepare all resolutions, notices, and other papers and proceedings
for any work and improvement that may be hereafter authorized by
said City Council in this assessment district ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said attorney shall receive
as compensation for his services herein an amount equal to two
percent (2%) of the construction costs, but not less than $250.00;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said compensation shall be
paid as follows:
1 . Three-fourths (3/4) thereof at the time of execution
of the contract by the contractor who is awarded said contract by
this body, and
2 . The balance thereof at the time of the recording of
the assessment , diagram and warrant ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if said proceedings shall
fail to be carried to conclusion, said attorney shall be paid
a reasonable compensation for his services performed as determined
by said City Council ; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said services shall not in-
clude any services for litigation, for preparation of legal de-
scriptions, or examination of easements and rights of way, or
services in procurement of easements and rights of way, but shall
be solely for the preparation of all resolutions , notices, and
other papers and proceedings required by the provisions of the
Improvement Act of 1911 and the Special Assessment Investigation,
Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931 in carrying through
the proceedings for the work herein contemplated .

I, PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected , qualified and acting
City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-officio Clerk
of the City Council of said city, do hereby certify that the whole
number of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach is seven; that the foregoing resolution was passed and
adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of all the
members of said City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 19th day of October, 1970, by the following vote:

Gibbs, Bartlett, McCracken, Green, Matney, Coen, Shipley
NOES: COUNCILMEN
None
