A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH URGING THE DEMOCRATIC
REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM TO RELEASE THE NAMES OF
AMERICAN CAPTIVES AND FATALITIES AND TO
OBSERVE THE RULES OF THE GENEVA CONVENTION
WHEREAS , all Americans are deeply concerned about our
prisoners of war and the men who are missing in action in
the current conflict in Indo China with the Democratic Republic
of Vietnam; and
The names of the men presently being held captive and
those who have died have not been communicated to the United
States government so that the families of these men may
know whether they are dead or alive;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach urges the Democratic Republic of Vietnam
to release the names of the American captives and fatalities,
and to observe the rules of the Geneva Convention which
that country signed in 1957 •
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
16th day of November, 1970.

I , PAUL C. JONES, the duly elected, qualified and
acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-
officio Clerk of the City Council of said City, do hereby
certify that the whole number of members of the City Council
of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th
day of November 19 70 , by the following vote:
