' 250 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR AN ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE STATE RAILROAD CROSSING PROTECTION FUND. WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission has approved the need for more adequate protection at the crossing of the Southern Pacific Transporta- tion Company's Stanton Branch Line with Warner Avenue (Crossing No. 6NC-31.20); and WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Beach has entered into an agreement with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company to construct No. 8 flashing light signals and automatic gates at this crossing; and WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Commission may allocate to cities financial assistance in paying their shares of the crossing protection improvements from the Crossing Protection Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved and ordered that the City Council of the city of Huntington Beach approves and authorizes the submission of a request to the Public Utilities Commission for an allocation from the Crossing Protection Fund for the improvement of Southern Pacific Transportation Company's Crossing No. 6NC-31.20 Warner Avenue.
