A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF HUNTINGTON BEACH REQUESTING THE ENACTMENT
OF APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION REGULATING THE
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE OF DANGEROUS DRUGS
AND NARCOTICS
WHEREAS , the City of Huntington Beach is concerned with
the increase in usage of dangerous drugs and narcotics within
the City of Huntington Beach and the State of California; and
The City of Huntington Beach is desirous that appropriate
legislation be enacted to safeguard accessibility of dangerous
drugs and narcotics to prevent theft , and requests the sup-
port of the Orange County Division of the League of California
Cities as well as all cities within said Orange County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Huntington Beach as follows :
1. That the state Legislature and our representatives
in Congress are urged and requested to enact appropriate
legislation to safeguard accessibility of dangerous drugs and
narcotics in, but not limited to pharmaceutical and medical
offices , through requirement of storage under security pro-
visions as are deemed necessary and adequate to deter vanda-
lism and theft of such drugs .
2 . That the Orange County Division of the League of
California Cities and all cities within the County of Orange
are urged to support and endorse this request by adoption
and distribution of a similar resolution.
3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
copies of this resolution to the Orange County Division of
the League of California Cities and to our local State and
Federal representatives .

Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the lst
day of March, 1971 .

acting City Clerk of the City of Huntington Beach, and ex-

of the City of Huntington Beach is seven; that the foregoing
resolution was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of
more than a majority of all the members of said City Council
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 1st
day of March , 19 71 , by the following vote:
